Step 1:  Paperwork

Upon entering our Chiropractic Associates of Alachua, we have some brief paperwork for you to complete.  The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself and your condition.

Step 2:  Consultation

Once the paperwork has been completed, you will have a consultation with either Dr. Powell or Dr. Richeson to discuss your health related problems, concerns, as well as potential treatment options.

Step 3:  Examination

In order to determine what your actual problem is, the chiropractor will ask you various questions related to your condition.  A number of specialized tests may be performed to determine which tissues are affected and to what extent.  Your specific condition may require x-rays to rule out more serious conditions or assist in developing the most effective treatment plan for you.

Step 4:  Treatment

Once finished with the examination and all appropriate studies, patients will generally be provided with their first treatment during this same visit.  This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapies, and/or soft tissue therapies.

Step 5:  Schedule a Follow Up

You will be given a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit.  Generally speaking, patients are seen within 1-2 days and are provided with a complete review of findings.  Treatment options for your condition will also be discussed during this time.

Some of the more common insurance plans Chiropractic Associates of Alachua accept:

  • Blue Cross/Blue Shield

Without Insurance

For patients who have little or no chiropractic insurance coverage, flexible payment programs can be arranged.  If you have no insurance or do not have chiropractic benefits there is still a way for you to receive the care you need.  Many patients pay directly for care, as they discover chiropractic to be extremely cost-effective and affordable.
